We present our Nordplus Adult program project SAFE – seeking actively for employment (No. NPAD-2016/10090). Our partnership unites experience from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Denmark organizations in order to create a modern and actual training program for the people 50+. Participation in the labour market is crucially important for all age groups, but some of them are more vulnerable and face difficulties while retaining the workplace. Self-employment, exploiting the knowledge, skills and experience gained in the career could be a successful option to stay and participate actively in the labour market for the project target group – people 50+.
The aims of the project:
Encouraging the people 50+ to consider self-employment as an opportunity to stay longer in the labour market;
Identification of an adjustment in the successful Nord countries practice in life-long learning area;
Dissemination of the EU Active Ageing Policy ideas among the people 50+ to ensure their active participation in the social life.
To achieve the project`s aim the following objectives will be met:
To identify the main barriers for the self-employment for people 50+;
To collect the inspiring case stories about the people 50+, who started self-employment in the older age;
